Red elderberry

Red elderberries are edible when cooked for jelly or juice, but POISONOUS when raw! These are a very common sighting right now in Juneau. Filed in berries. 

The very rare and elusive blue sky

I know the lower 48 has been frying this summer, but we have had our own bad summer - of the rainy sort. In 40 days we only had two days of sun. The sun finally came out for a few hours this past Tuesday and for a couple hours this morning, but now its cloudy again. These were taken on Tuesday. 

Echo Ranch Bible Camp

I went out to Echo Ranch Bible Camp on Wednesday and Thursday with homeschoolers. It is really beautiful out there and a wonderful kid's camp. Here are a few photos from camp:
